Roah and channeling skills

Hey exiles,

The Roah mount is really really cool and I also love channeling skills. So why not both?

I would love to be able to channel my skills while moving at full speed and I feel like The mount could give that power. If this is to powerfull, maybe reduce by 60% penalty to oblige playing the support to get the final 40% remaining.

Anyway, I hope you picture the flamethrower on a roah.

Have a great 0.2 exiles!

I'll just add that you can toss a javelin, and draw and fire a bow while on rhoa's back, but somehow crossbow shooting is a no-go xD

I think that part makes sense thematically. Crossbows were huge bulky weapons (before modern stuff). They're the medieval equivalent of carrying a mini-gun and normally required a giant lever to reload.

And without the lever they had to do this:

How many javelins can you carry with you when horseback riding? Please make it make sense thematically.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'd say you're not exactly on-point. We're not on a medieval campaign against the wolves, we're in a more-or-less fantasy setting. Why do the crossbow skills get short end of the stick again?
If you go this route, having melée weapons on the roah will also make a lot of sense. An to be honest, having a leap slam on a roah would be freaking cool.

probably 5-6 javelins. maybe like 30 with a saddle bag. my point wasnt about ammo tbh, more that reloading a crossbow is a full body excercise unlike a bow/javelin. (i get this point doesnt matter rly)

If crossbows feel like they're getting the short end of the stick id argue crossbows need more mechanics that make them worthwhile, while still retaining a distinct weapon class identity.
