My game crashes when I create a new character on the riverbank loading screen

Steps to reproduce:
1) Make a new character, leave and SSF config does not seem to matter
2) Choose class and name
3) Loading screen of Riverbank -> Crash
Now the character always crashes when trying to load in and is unplayable.

Due to this bug, I am unable to make new characters.

This crash happens on both DX12 and Vulcan

Can you verify your game files? Go to the Path of Exile 2 game folder and run Packcheck.exe

If on steam client then right click POE 2 in steam library and select properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.

Tried verifying install files using steam. This did not affect the crashing behavior.
