Question regarding minion gem vs wand

If I have a wand that has the mod "Minions Are Aggressive", but also have Meat Shield support linked to my Serpent Warrior Spectres, will they be aggressive or defensive? Specifically in regards to firing mortars vs not.

Wiki says they will cancel each other out. So would just have the default AI I guess. |
