Sekhema boss timestop mechanic still garbage design
|
I got bored and decided to farm the endgame boss a couple of times.
The only time I could kill him was with the harefoot boon. I even use shield charge with 2 uses to get the bubbles he places sometimes on completely opposite sides of the room. I did this flawlessly and still there is no chance of getting the last 2 due to the positioning of the orbs. This mechanic needs to be changed. You shouldn't have to rely on RNG for the harefoot boon just to kill him. I spent 2 divine a couple of times on the relic to get the jewel and lost both times due to the same cheesy mechanic. I get him to about 15% health with no problem, almost no honor loss, and almost no damage but this complete shit mechanic design makes certain you don't get rewarded. Please change this. There is zero reason for this fight to be determined by complete RNG. Extend the amount of time before you are slowed completely or lessen the slow effect. He literally stands zero chance against me other than daddy GGG horrible design bailing him out. There's so little to do at endgame anyway. Now I really don't even want to play the game anymore. I'll probably just buy the stupid jewel and bypass your garbage boss design at this point and see if adding a couple more skeletons to my army or maybe slotting blink makes the game interesting for x more hours. Probably wont but it's whatever at this point. Last edited by ImMobile2010#0431 on Mar 22, 2025, 10:59:43 AM Last bumped on Mar 25, 2025, 5:38:52 PM

I agree, this instakill mechanic has made me want to stop playing PoE2.
The biggest issue for me is the abrupt change in difficulty. Its fairly easy up until boss 4. Then instadead with zero chance or warning. No real instructions and there is no way to practice the encounter. Its as frustrating as old 80s/90s twitchy console games where you have to invest several hours building up to a 5 second encounter with zero margin for error and the whole thing resets you to the beginning. 0/10 Not fun |

when I wanted to do him first time I was not aware of the mechanic, so I put down the controller and wanted to drink something, thinking my game would have crashed (in the lead up to the mechanic).
Have tried a couple times afterwards, never have gotten the boon again. I think one time I could have gotten with losing all my ES as a trade in, which would basically have been a instant loss in as well. What I kind of found even more impressive is that I found all other levels on floor 4 so much easier/ faster, especially the traps level... |

There are movement speed relics...
It's really not that bad. |
