Endgame thoughts
|
I am new to POE, haven't played POE1 b4.
After 3 months of playing POE2, here are my thoughts, some other may have already mentioned. 1. Death Penalty a) Leveling I thought this is a gear grinding game, but level 90+ takes way too long to level up, especailly with the 10% loss death penalty. Why noy let players reach max level and have all the skill points to play around? If GGG is to keep the way it is, at least: i) allow us to buy certain % of loss experience through gold and gets more expensive as we level up. or ii) we lose less exp after 90+, maybe like lvl 90 lose 9% and lvl 91 lose 8% etc. b) Map/citadels On top of the exp loss, we also lose the map's modifier. Wouldn't it be better if we lose only either map or exp, not both? We have 6 portals, why shouldn't we be able to go back to the map? It's even worse for citadels, we don't even get to insert a new map after death. This is way too harsh and frustrating at early endgame. 2. Fix camera location for map device. At late endgame, we scroll around to find a map to play, but if we don't have a waystone on us, then re-opening map device we will need to find the node again. Maybe we should just go back to where we close the map device. We have a shortcut to go back where we are anyway. 3. Sound effect on Elemental Conflux I like the buff it gives up, but the sound for switching element every 9 seconds is way too annoying. Especiall we are in town when it's quiet. Please add an option to turn off the sound effect or cancel the sound completly. Last bumped on Mar 21, 2025, 12:37:17 AM

" Level 90 is not a problem, and there is no hard level requirement after that. Why do you need level 100? Especially when you have a weak build, you shouldn't take 100. " You have the ability to use all the portals, just don't die. Great incentive to make a good defense in the build. In the end, you don't lose that much from losing the map itself. |
