Completely unable to log in since 'maintenance'

Everytime I log in it says I must exit game as a new update needs to be downloaded, so I do that, it downloads it all, then says the same thing upon trying to log in again. This has happened over ten times now. I've reset router, steam, and pc, even tried a different log in server. Nothing works.

since maintenance game update and start but it says over and over needed patch is not installed.. fix Steam Poe Client plz |

I just validated my game files in steam (not downloading the patch, the file validation under the game properties on the steam side) and it fixed the problem. Or it just happened to time out with GGG fixing it, but either way I'm in the game now and it was hanging before.

Ok, i realized there was pending update on steam. I executed and all seems good.
