Mac OS Installation file is "broken"?

I have a MacOS platform, and the last time I played PoE was in 2021. All the files remained on my computer, but I got an error when launching the app. Understanding that in the 4 years since I last used the App, I followed the advice in the forums. Before downloading the new package, I deleted the App and any associated Library files. However, after launching the latest App, I got an error message:


The "Path of Exile.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash.

I have removed and deleted this file 5 times and re-downloaded a fresh file from the download page. I continue to get the same error message when launching the app. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem... and since the last patch I can't play poe1.
I play on a Mac mini m1.
It's clear that GGG cares very little about players on iOS computers.

Same issue. Won't play from Steam or when i direct dl the game. Used to work... would love for it to work again...
