Dropped item labels not visible
|
Before everything:
Double tapping Z does not fix it. Item labels remain frozen in place. Double tapping them does nothing. They are rendered (if even rendered) few screen away. This happened during ultimatum. So picking up even divine orbs becomes nearly impossible task. (I am forced to use Uber-Uber-Plus filter now) This is the first time when Z-Z does not work to fix it. Item labels are simply not there. It started to happen like 30 minutes ago. -Restarted the game and the PC. -Recreated all loot filters. -Changed bindings etc. Nothing gives result. I am open to any suggestion. This is beyond unplayable for me. Last bumped on Mar 15, 2025, 1:36:55 PM

From my experience, when double tapping does not work it is because there is so much loot on the ground it basically bricks the item label location. Restricting how much loot is shown + smaller labels so it doesn't push them off-screen is probably going to be your best bet if there is a lot of centralized loot in one location.
Was very notorious for me in leagues I did a lot of Strongbox re-opens, Wildwood with the abyss, exile unique stacking, and a number of other leagues where you are just putting a lot of loot in one central location. My maps atm in Phrecia are incredibly dense with mobs and loot from the idols, but limited issues so far with labels because I am running customized high strictness (unless I proc Wildwood + other stuff). The rare cases it does happen, I either off-screen, double tap, and come back. Or have to portal out in some rare cases. Could realistically fix it with even more strictness, but then I get random maps with basically 0 items on ground and not fun for me. If that doesn't help, try including a video or multiple screenshots of the loot shown with your filter from ending Ultimatum, and then pressing the show all items button (assuming there's not so much loot it crashes you, been there). |

Why would Z not hide the items?

Consider the loot back when a lot of these systems were designed. Now player's have so much quantity, rarity, atlas trees (or idols), and that's not even getting into pack size, MF, 8-mod, T17, scarabs, etc. When too much stuff is on your screen it just gets pushed off screen and it has been that way ever since the earliest leagues where players were actually able to significantly juice up the amount of loot and mobs. I want to say something like Breach, Beyond, or Harbinger maybe?
Without knowing the coding of how loot is displayed, but since it has been an issue for at least 7 years at this point, most likely can't be fixed assuming it's the same issue I've had from juiced up mechanics. Some combination of lower the font size, restrict the amount of loot shown, or use one of the tricks to re-show off-screen labels. Ah, another one I forgot is if all the loot is coming from the Ultimatum loot explosion you can also disable names and just click on the loot pile directly to loot all the *highlighted* items. Useful for the loot explosions where a single mob may drop dozens of piles of fusings, alts, maps, or whatever. |

I'm here to give you update.
Since many of our group are having the same issue, we are certain now this is not a bug but design choice. We use the following solution during ultimatum encounter: 1.Permanently disable loot by clicking Z. 2.Use loot filter with lower font size. Not great but at least for now makes it playable. |
