How about we buff rare item quest rewards, they really don`t give you anything.
I am getting close to 4000 hours, probably have thousands of Rare item quests done at this point and i remember going only once "wow, now that is an upgrade".
THE ONLY rare quest reward that has been consistently ~decent~, is the rare ring reward in act 5 and even that doesn`t always hit. With most of the rare item rewards, you just have something better or it just gives me a couple of % increase in stat upgrades, in which i feel like the reward is not amazing. And they have a really bad habbit of rolling just as badly as dropped items. I am one of those people who loves doing all the quests but i really don`t feel like there is any merit to it other than completion aspect. Maybe revamp the rewards, give out something different? Give some rare rewards with almost guaranteed stats? One rare reward could look like this: 3 guaranteed affixes (life or mana - one random resistance - one random dps affix, one choice for each archetype) with random rolls between high tiers 1-3. Could have one reward with guaranteed 1-3 affixes roll tier 1 affixes. Could have a random choice of (3-4?) corrupted implicit mods, like totally random, won`t even know what item basetype choices you could get and then guarantee craft that onto any normal rare item that you have available. Could do the same for Influence choices, get a any random Influence (no choice, which Influence, so it won`t be the same every run) and also craft that onto a any rare of your choice with the right available empty affix slot open. Could also do something similiar for veiled and synthesised affixes. Could get a rare item with 1 guaranteed and 1 random tier 1-3 affixes or just tier 1, hah. 1 reward could be: a skill gem of your choice gets +20 quality. Same for an armour, weapon, flask. Could offer some uniques, probably the ones that are designed for leveling and one totally random one (maybe get lucky, heh ;) Could offer some currency even. Could give a (probably) small chance for rare rewards to upgrade into some super rare items (how crazy you go with that? not sure), could be one of those once in every 10 characters moments. Of course some of these things should be only doable once per character and some things probably somehow restricted to campaign levels only (maybe max lvl 74). Look, i play other arpgs, where you do sometimes get rewards that are worth it, especially if it is a legendary item that you don`t own yet or see a rare item upgrade to some sort of super rare item, which legit feels almost unique in it`s own right. They feel so good to get because you have invested all of your campaign time in it and it feels like you`ve won the lottery with that particular quest reward. In poe you probably won`t get that feeling, since it is very trade oriented and the campaign is actually relatively short, which casually is, if you get the hang of it, about 3 days max to get every character to maps and your character feels 30%-50% complete but only because the rest is designed for a long tedious grind for exp and currency rather than finishing the character in the campaign (and yes there are games where you can complete your characters during the campaign, for the most part, which feels great and awesome and it would be awesome to actually finish a character in poe other than once every blue m... sorry derailing here a bit :D) which i feel like they reflect on the feeble quest rewards.
