FPS hardcap two times fixed after patch for one game ran

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue where my FPS is hard capped at around 56 FPS, and I can't figure out why. Interestingly, there have been two occasions—both after game patches—where this cap wasn't present, and the game ran smoothly with 190–270 FPS. The first time was some time ago, and the second was today, right after downloading the 0.1.1f Hotfix. However, once I restarted the game, the FPS cap returned again.

For reference, other games are running perfectly fine:

The Witcher 3: ~140 FPS
Marvel Rivals: ~170 FPS
Baldur’s Gate 3: ~150 FPS
System Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Panther OC 16GB GDDR6X
Platform: Steam

I've already tried most of the commonly recommended fixes found online (V-Sync, driver updates, power settings, etc.), but nothing has resolved the issue. The only times the cap was lifted were immediately after those two specific patches—and only for one session.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

This thread was really helpful—turns out shaders were the main issue. However, I'm still hitting a ceiling at around 170 FPS, so something still isn't quite right.

It seems like after certain updates (especially those affecting shaders), the game runs at unlocked FPS for the first session. But after that, performance drops significantly—initially down to around 56 FPS, and more recently even lower, closer to 48 FPS.

It feels like something is going wrong with shader caching or compilation after the initial run.
