Feature Request: Local Map Overlay movement options
Hello,
I have a request that is not meant to be considered high priority and likely has already been thought of/discussed. I apologize in advance for this. GGG should do what is considered important and fits their schedule. Map Overlay: I believe the default keybind is "m", and a common name for it would be "local map" in the industry. It's position on screen can be changed using the arrow keys, which cannot be rebound. It'd be difficult and unnecessary for me to figure a better keybind for them, to be honest. I write, because I think it'd be nice to have a new action for the local map navigation. When the map overlay is on, a keybind will activate which when pressed, the mouse will reposition the map. Similar to the character following the mouse, but instead the map to the cursor once a key is held. The reason why I think should first be asked as a question. Have you ever been going through a map at any clear speed and had to reposition your map with the arrow keys to orient yourself? It is by no means difficult, but in terms of a gameplay smoothness perspective, it changes the flow of traffic in a sense. In addition to the arrow keys, which I would still use, but an overlay-specific keybind option. This is indeed asking too much. A slider for the repositioning sensitivity would be cool. I apologize if this post was redundant and already considered in the past. My other gameplay requests are already widely debated. Additionally, this post may seem really weird to you. I do not use a typical keybind setup for this genre and I think it could be worthwhile. By no means should this post be considered as a demand or a criticism but a suggestion. Regardless of the circumstances, I'm glad the event got extended and good luck. Last bumped on Apr 7, 2025, 9:46:24 PM
