You have been detected cheating message.

I play on Linux, I do this because Windows as of 24H2 is just corporate spyware.

Today, when loading after the update, I received a message that says I have been detected as running cheating software.

I want to be very clear. At no time, in PoE, PoE2, or any game I play, have I cheated. I despise cheating and the hollow victories it affords those who lack the ethical fortitude required to never cheat to win.

If I seem a little pissed, I am, I do not like being accused of being the lowest of the low, a darn-dirty-no-good-asshat-cheating-sob.

So if you could just confirm for me that this is an issue caused by playing on Linux, I would appreciate that.

If you require Windows, it'll be the end of my PoE(2) game playing, so please, leave the only true privacy respecting OS well supported.

I also started getting this message today. I only get this message in PoE II and not PoE. Looking for GG to make a statement on whether it is save to login to PoE II without my account being banned.

I am having the same issue. I play on Mac with Crossover and just started getting this message with 0.1.1.f...

I’m here for the same question as well. Got a message post update about being flagged for cheating. Only thing I have done was add a loot filter. Not sure if this is a problem or not, looking for answers

same for me. i run overwolf overlay for trade tho... maybe that triggered it? whats cheating about it? the trading system in the game is horrid, that little help to see pending trades is considered cheating??? i have uninstalled overwolf but the message is still there.

EDIT: i found the cause. i have ultra wide screen and had a hack to use its resolution. had to remove it. now the game looks like poo.

Same here. After today PoE2 update found this "you cheater" message. Newer use cheats.

Also concerned about this message; I just received it this morning.
I don't and never have used cheat software. The only thing I'm using is a loot filter, which isn't against T&Cs and is fully supported.

I have no other background software going aside from Discord and Slack, along side steam (overlay) and a few other driver type things oh and chrome browser.

I never had this message with POE1, and I was using exactly the same setup.
I do not want to be banned. What is being done about this?
I`m all for banning botters and cheaters, but not people who play legitimately like myself!!

Too bad i just remove Ultrawide DLL and message gone ....... so what users with ultrawide monitors will play like a 4:3 .....
