unique items buff

What do you think about the scale of uniques from the base level? Is it worth forcing this idea for GGG? I think this is the easiest way to fix the value of items.
https://imgur.com/u45kwzT Now: 12 out of 159 armor is worth something 3 out of 37 weapons is worth something 12 out of 57 accessories are worth something I think this is a crime against the people who created these items. GGG needs to find a way for all items to have a meaning to exist. ![]() Last bumped on Mar 23, 2025, 9:54:18 AM

Right now most uniques have very limited use indeed.
Some are useless, like these shackles, but most have very limited use, like this nice Voltaic Staff that becomes obsolete even before endgame either because its innate skill will be out leveled, or if found in late game it won't ever be used, because it is far outclassed by any rare staff. Having them level up according to the wielder's level would make them a lot more powerful, and most wouldn't even need change to prevent them from becoming overpowered in endgame. Also, making the unique items skins available to players who own them would be a nice addition. It'd help make collecting unique items a fun part of the game. |

In general, yes, you will simplify experiments, as well as leveling up, as many items will become much better.
You just need to understand that this will destroy the market for low-level items, since almost no one will find them. I don't think it's critical, but still. As for the fact that this can make items too strong - you can (and should) adjust different degrees of strength growth. Some items may not grow in strength at all, while others may develop significantly. But there is an important problem: This will require adding hundreds of unique dynamic characteristics to the balance. Developers may simply struggle to keep it all balanced. There is a compromise option: Add a stripped-down growth, namely-just two versions of the item, normal and "blessed". The disadvantage is that this will further complicate the search for the item, as it will further expand the selection, and to avoid this, you will need to introduce the mechanics of "prohibiting the appearance of a weak unique from some point". |
