Steam lost my account when I bought PoE 2.

When I sign in through Steam to get to my PoE account, a brand new account is there (the one I'm posting from). This was never a problem before when signing in. I think when I purchased PoE 2 back in December, it made a new account. This new account I am posting from has 300 coins to use. I have sent emails to try and get my account back and have heard nothing for more than a week. I just want my original account back.
