Sacrificial heart and Dagger Bug

Hello… I’ve experienced a rather disturbing bug that is affecting my gameplay.

I’ve progressed to act 3 with my friend and as we got to the sacrificial heart quest in utzaal/Agorat area. My friend/teammate used the knife on the heart to access the additional 2 skill points. He picked up and used the knife and stabbed the heart. He received the 2 additional skill points and I did not. Now I am permanently unable to receive the sacrificial dagger or heart to get the additional 2 skill points for myself because for some reason it counted for both of us completing that quest. I cannot restart the waypoint for a new instance to respawn the dagger or the heart. I literally tried 10 times. Nothing shows up and I cannot complete the quest for myself in order to get those 2 additional skill points… the only solution?? Create a new character and start all over again which I do not have all that time to re level a character through campaign again just to get to that point… please GGG… please fix this!!!!!!
