Console (PS5) absolutely NEEDS mouse and keyboard support

I would love to be able to play with controller AND mouse + keyboard. It’s absurd it’s not already there when there is a PC version that can do both. Especially for trading. I can only type for trade after pulling up the PS5 digital keyboard.
I know it’s early access but this absolutely needs to be implemented. I really only want to use my controller when I’m actively running around killing stuff. Literally everything else from item management to chatting, I need to (at the very least) be able to use my keyboard. Most other games I play have it without issue so I know it’s possible. And quite frankly, this game is designed for it so handicapping console players is a blight. And yeah I know there is another (probably multiple) posts about it but I wanted to add another so GGG gets on it. impossible, they wont add it. even tho there is already a lot of other games in console that has keyboard and mouse support and its funny that games like fornite has it and its a pvp game while poe2 is pve and still doesnt have mouse n keyboard support
but still i still saw other games refuse to add it and it might be the case here for poe2 also and other games like the first descendant have keyboard n mouse support on openbeta but then removed it after full game release lol and makes you think, do they hate console players that much? |

My guess is that it's Playstation holding developers back from implementing m&k on consoles to be "fair".
On Xbox, most of the non-combat functionality of a keyboard works in this game - hit tab to open a keyword search box in any menu that has one, hit enter to bring up the chat box which you can type directly in without bringing up the on screen keyboard, hit F1 to overlay the performance graphs from the graphics settings menu, hit escape to close text/chat boxes, etc. I learned in other posts that PS doesn't have any of these capabilities and as you said can only type with a keyboard once the on screen keyboard is displayed. I assume Xbox framework is similar to Windows which is why more keyboard features work already. Given that info, it would make sense that the full m&k implementation would be simple. But PS requires extra work to properly implement, so Xbox also gets screwed. Thanks Obama |

My keyboard doesn't even work with ps5 sadly. Got the logitech mx...
Can anyone confirm if it is possible to use k&m on ps5 for chat/regex? |

" I’m not aware of any keyboards that aren’t supported on ps5, however I can confirm that if you open the chat keyboard up on your screen, a connected keyboard will work to type characters into the chat box, it’s not super intuitive given you need to switch from controller to keyboard to type your messages, but at least you can use a keyboard to type sentences which is much easier than trying to do it via controller with the digital keyboard. Experienced software engineer, I feel your pain GGG.
