Witch Blood Mage ascendancy not working

So I took my ascendancy for the first time at level 50 and I picked blood mage. It does not work at all, my spells are still spending mana. I’m looking at threads and seeing that this has been a problem for a long time either fix it or let me switch ascendancy

Bloodmage does not remove manacost. It adds a lifecost.

You could pick a passive notable that turns manacost into lifecost (although that will give you a double lifecost).
