Dropped Loot Disappearing

If I don't pick something up within about 5 seconds, the label disappears. My loot filter will still make it glow and place an icon on the map, but the label is gone so I can't pick it up. Still happens if I disable loot filter. I noticed this when a level 20 skill gem dropped from a boss and I couldn't pick it up... Later I figured out that this happens to all loot. I have a few more screenshots if it helps.

Click on the eye on the skill bar to see the loot :)

This was embarrassing to learn, but at least I died from burning ground trying to figure it out
