Some unique jewels nullify any attribute pathing nodes

On my pillar stat stack monk (yes I know I'm a disgustang bandwagonner), I was fiddling with optimizing my exact stat distribution, and notice an odd swathe of 5 stat passives near my heroic tragedy were not doing anything.

After some further testing, I determined that +5 passives in radius of both Heroic Tragedy and in the radius of effect from From Nothing grant no bonus.

Neither jewel, nor the affected passives from either jewel, list anything to indicate that stat passives will be nullified.

This is either an incorrect design, or multiple incorrect tooltip states.
