Lost Email due to Inactivity -- Internal Switch possible?

So Yahoo has this delightful policy of nuking accounts that are inactive for like a year I think (and then making the username unavailable forever, lol?). I know it's asking for a lot but considering that I have my password for this PoE account and I'm linked via Steam; Is it possible for some internal administrative process to let me change my email without having access to the email it's registered to? I was so happy to find the password to this account on an old hard drive and then just to shot back down into despair when I realized that the email change process requires me to login to the current email it's registered with (???) Anyway, not expecting much just throwing this last ditch effort request out there before giving up completely.
