How did I lose life before energy shield

Can someone explain the behavior I see in the video?

Chaos goes through ES unless you have mind over matter passive in your tree. |

" I know. Poison and Bleed damage bypasses ES. But chaos damage (except poison) does not bypass ES, it has the effect of removing twice as much energy shield when dealing damage. |

Some attacks (other than posion) still bypass ES.
In particular, some slow cast "fist from heavens" thing and multishot "green lightning"-ish thing. Also chaos pools (red/purple ones). Holy fk, so much pools... Last edited by Hommit#3712 on Feb 24, 2025, 11:36:08 AM
