Persistent Minion Revival Speed Cap?

I... don't know if this is a bug or what's exactly going on, but it's looking like revival speed is intentionally or not hard capped at 50%? Can anyone confirm or deny?


context -
running a hardcore summoner and decided to use it to tinker and test a summoner build. towards that end I'm currently level 18 with 40% revive speed via the tree.

Living Dead - 15%
Gravedigger - 15%
two small nodes 10%

I also equipped the Necromantle which gives an added 50% revive speed, which should give me total 90% and a revive time of functionally instantaneous.

my actual effective respawn time is exactly 4 seconds, which i timed using Last Gasp.

anyone know if this is intentional or a bug? or if it should be working and just isnt because im being stupid?

This is PoE 1 wiki but the term "faster" would work the same for cooldowns or I might be the one being stupid :P

I have no clue about decimals after the calculations in PoE2 but it's said "effectively always rounded up" in the poe1 wiki (server frames).
Everything I do should be wrong so please correct me if I do it right <3

You're thinking about it wrong. Something being 100% faster doesn't mean instant it means half the time

i will reiterate my test in a more concise fashion.

at 50% faster revives it takes 4 seconds to respawn minions.
at 90% faster revives it takes 4 seconds to respawn minions
at below 50% faster it scales from 8 seconds (base time) down until it hits 4, about as i would expect. IE 25% is around 6 seconds.

right this second because of those results i took off the skill nodes and am just using the necromantle... cause i bought it so might as well make use of it

if 100% was "half" then 90% which i was testing at would be 4 seconds and change, leaving a gap between Last Gasp ending and the minion respawning - there isnt one as far as i can tell.

Lv.28 Skeletal Brute
Lv.26+20% Sacrifice (20% "more slowly" revive)
65% "faster revive" from tree (5+5+15+15+25)
->Revive counter always start from 6 seconds

+ Necromantle (50% "faster revive")
->Revive counter always start from 5 seconds

On my setting, I can at least say that Necromantle with passives does something.

Gathering "faster revive" in the passives costs alot. You might better try "dropping faster revive in the tree" with Necromantle to find its use.

Or I might be the one who better drop some faster revive from the tree to maintain 6 seconds cooldown. :P
If my current setup is the final version, it's duration vs revive speed. Not really faster is better as long as the duration is enough long for the purpose.
