Quest: Death and Rebirth

Hey everyone !
I tried finding out about this in ingame chat but to no avail. I am currently in the campaign at the quest Death and Rebirth. After respeccing a little i tried it (very similiar to Trial of the Sekhema in PoE2 i noticed) but failed because my damage sucked. Now i have the problem that i can't seem to get another quest item to try it again. The Mortinomicon (?) does not drop anymore from that bookstand so i'm out of ideas. so, basicly i have to farm mobs in hopes of getting these things to drop...well that is certainly a design choice for a campaign quest...

Sanctum is not a campaign quest in PoE 1. The quest "Death and Rebirth" has nothing to do with Sanctum.
The quest "Aiding an Archivist" consists only of placing the Mortinomicon and the relic on the altar and opening the sanctum. All the tutorial quests of various mechanics (beasts, delve, expedition, blight, sanctum, etc.) are optional and only teach interaction with the mechanics. |

I assumed because it sent me to sanctum, that i would have to clear it to progress the campaign - should have double-checked that.
