Corruption altar bugs item and cannot open doors. 2,004,578,930

When using the corruption altar and a strange series of clicks my intended item (amulet) is now gone. I also cannot open doors so I asume the item is sort of "stuck" on my cursor. The altar is uesd. Relogging put the item back on my cursor.
