CPU HITTING 100c in POE1/2

I'll start by saying this is a brand new PC and I have had no issues with other games. And I have encountered this issue in poe1 and poe2 I believe I have fixed the issue in poe1 but it's stll happening in poe2 (didn't know where to post this redirect me if needed)

I idle around 30-40c on desktop and around 35-85c while gaming in t15 maps. Sitting in my hideout in PoE2 I'm at 35-50c. My problem is that I've seen my CPU temps spike to 100c in loading screens for 1-2 seconds more than enough times. I've tried many things like limiting max cpu power to 95% and also using process lasso, to limit how many cores I'm using, neither of these have been able to fix the issue. and every so often I'll see another split spike to 100c in one or so cores in CoreTemp.

I've read many threads describing this exact same issue, and believe this was also triggering many peoples PCs to shutdown. I've also read some other threads about this just being a hot CPU, but I did Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test, and the highest temp it hit was 87c

Messing with all the graphic settings the only thing I could say is DX12 it happens more often and Vulkan is more stable, but that could just be placebo.




I got this pc for path and now scared to play it. Wondering if I should return my PC and opt for a AMD cpu instead.
