Consume fully broken armour question

If Hammer of the Gods consumes enemy fully broken armour to do more damage then are those "do x more damage to enemies with fully broken armour" nodes on the tree useless for this attack? Like once I pop Hammer of the Gods does the enemy have their armour back before the hammer drops?
