I'm shocked people are excited for Phrecia... Demand 3 month leagues again

This simply really isn't good enough.

It's been almost 3/4 of a year, we need to be demanding leagues. They said they would make both games...

They are 3 leagues behind for POE 1, and almost 1 league behind for POE 2.

It's been years. It's time for them to get back to 3 month leagues. My good will is gone on these 4-9 month leagues, especially when they don't use that time to do anything but develop POE 2 campaign (something nobody will ever care about).


It's long past time GGG returns to 3 month league cycles.


I'm not sure GGG realizes everyone is going to hate the campaign after they see it once... Like we've been asking to skip the campaign for almost a decade now and they went and made a bigger one for ... who knows what reason.

Blame PoE2. PoE1 just doesn't compare to the success of PoE2's Early Access hype and player numbers. It's obvious that they're going to play favorites, and at present PoE2 is getting the attention. Until PoE2 leaves Early Access there won't be consistent leagues for PoE1. It's just a fact.

2025 will be bad for PoE1. Maybe next year we'll get leagues (doubt it'll be more than 1-2 a year).

They should have really figured out The tick and tock of the two games better.

To me the announcement was all wrong.

POE2 needs a mountain of work.

POE1 needs a small patch and a league. They could literally do any league and people would be playing it.

If this is tech debt, would have made more sense to do a league because the poe2 player base is now bored as well.

its unfixable btw with design chosen.

at least its something new for a month.

Here's a real hot take -- I agree with everything you said about POE 2 but I still love it, as it has a lot of potential and at least it's something "new".

But you are right. It needs a mountain of work, the design choices are so bad it alienated their biggest streamers, and once POE 2 players try POE 1 and see the crafting bench they're gonna be pissed at GGG.

Like GGG gave POE 2 a killshot when they literally said "They are happy with the state of crafting" -- instantly made the most notable big name streamers all immediately quit the game lol. Ziz literally went from saying "I don't care if POE 2 is fast or slow i'm gonna enjoy it" to "POE 2 probably isn't for me" after a single interview where GGG's waxed poetic about how RNG makes them horny, and they prefer the state of crafting being set to thoughts & prayers.

We don't like THAT much RNG guys... Take the hint GGG.

But i'm suggesting we demand GGG return to 3 month leagues in both games. They went like 50 days without a single update in POE 2 -- For an EA game, I expect LARGE updates every 2-4 weeks... Well they are treating updates like LEAGUES, which is astoundingly poor decision making.

I get an ARPG isn't like some FPS game in EA, but I really thought we'd be getting at least MONTHLY updates... Not 3 months later. Like monthly at the LATEST. They said the rest of the game is 80% done, then they should have added a whole lot of shit by now, and they've added -- nothing --


By this late in "EA" <--- sarcasm, I'd expected at least 2 major updates. Including new shit to do, new mechanics, port over blight and blah blah.

They are doing a whole lot of nothing and expecting POE 2 players to be happy with campaign only.

The state of both games is "needs extreme work"

We just want to play Path Of Exile 1 bro, no more no less

People were "demanding" more content.

And POE2 has only POE1 and its supporters to thank for that. lol.
