Building Tankiness

So right now, I got some more currency to play around because I had some time to play, and I am wondering, gemling stacker vs spark+choir blood mage, who can achieve the most tankines.

Spark+ choir obliterates the map right now, but I am not that tanky, I can build around some 50-55% evasion a good chunk of es like 4k +2k life and overflown life and es, or I could build some defenses into the gemling, but I do not know which one is better in terms of defenses, so I would appreciate some help from someone who played them both or either way.

I think your assessment of the current situation is realistic, but I also feel like its range is quite narrow.
