Currently having trouble.

I was wondering if anybody could help. I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong board, I could not see technical/account support for PoE2.

Just before I explain I will just say I have sent an email regarding my issue, I've had last night asking reply asking for character information and such, but I've also read people waiting a couple of months for any other kind of response.
I was just wondering if there's anything I could do myself.

So, this account is one I've had for a fair few years and I completely forgot I even had it due to a duration of time not owning a PC.
Last night I ended up getting a Key for PoE2 Early Access and ended up using it on a New account with a new Primary email without realising I still had this account linked to my Steam.
After trying to connect my Steam Account I was prompted to Merge this account, with my new one but it has not merged what is Linked.
As I've tried loading into PoE2 and it has not recognised I have redeemed the Early Access.
I wasn't aware the merge would mess things up, I hope that can be undone as I have no reason to keep this account, I'm quite happy deleting it but I do not wish to take the chance of my new account with the Early access being deleted too.
The only thing I can think that I could do at this point is unlink Steam from this account and afterwards Login to my new one and link that to my Steam
Does anybody have any idea if I'm able to do this?

Ahh damn, thank you anyway for the assistance.
Shame we cant unlink accounts. But ill wait on the email response. I hope it'll be soon.
