Grinding Gear Games Violates Consumer Rights – Unacceptable Support Delays
Hello Exiles,
I’m writing this post not just for myself, but for all players who have been struggling with Grinding Gear Games (GGG) due to unresolved support requests and account bans. With the new league approaching, every player deserves the chance to enjoy it without unnecessary obstacles. Unfortunately, many members of our community have been locked out of their accounts for weeks due to security-related bans, hacking incidents, or other issues. Despite numerous attempts to contact support, they have received no response. GGG Is Violating Consumer Rights Under New Zealand Law Since GGG is based in New Zealand, they are subject to the country's consumer protection laws, including: Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) This law requires services to be provided with reasonable care and within a reasonable timeframe. Making players wait over a month for account support is unacceptable and unfair. Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA) This law prohibits businesses from engaging in misleading and deceptive practices. If GGG claims to provide customer support but fails to deliver in a reasonable time, that can be considered misrepresentation and an unfair practice. GGG, Please Fix Your Support The new league should be a time of excitement for everyone, yet many players are currently locked out of their accounts, unable to participate due to a lack of response from support. We urge GGG to prioritize account recovery cases and improve their response times so that every player can enjoy Path of Exile without unnecessary frustration. If you or someone you know has been affected by slow or missing support responses, please reply to this post so we can raise awareness and demand better customer service. Let's make sure everyone gets to enjoy the new league together! Last edited by Aidanin#0466 on Feb 18, 2025, 5:02:23 PM Last bumped on Feb 18, 2025, 4:59:49 PM

I'm 50 days waiting for GGG's return, particularly whatever excuse he is not acceptable, for me this is more a matter of delay and incompetence, in my view if there was an opportunity to indict GGG for this situation, I'm totally in.
