level 33 monk stuck on act 2 poe2

Hello! I am a new player and throughout my gameplay i started building a ice monk, rarely i got persistent buff skill gems which lets you go for buffs like herlad of ice etc. By accident i bought twice ghost dance. My problem is that i got to the act 2 boss and wanted to change builds for a lightning build thinking it will help me beat the boss easier but that turned out to be an even worse decision because i don't have acces to herald of thunder. Now after respecing my passive skill tree points for nothing i gotta do it all over again trying to build my old ice build back, the thing is i am lost and i don't know what to do and this makes me want to abandon the character and start again. Any useful tips i could use? Thanks!

Sound like you can't make change on your current character for some reasons.

Spirit skill gems drop from monster but it's rare as you noticed.

My tip for farming is to find your favorite maps/bosses or patterns. You can ctrl-click on the portal location (blue circle) in the world map at the town portal or the gate to your desired map to create a new map and enter.

"What is my favorite map ?"
When I feel good in a map, that's a good map for me. Each map has random layout so it might take few tries to see if I like it or not.
Sometimes I want to run straight from the entrance to an end or the boss in that area. Sometimes I want to run in a circle to clear some rare and magic monsters in the map.

It might take some time so it's better not to be focusing on things I don't like/I cannot do too much/long.

If you're not playing SSF you can buy the Herald or an uncut Spirit for ~ 1 Exalt. I'd offer to give you one except I'm playing SSF.

And, yes, Jamanra is definitely the toughtest boss to that point.

Thank you guys so much for the replies! I will definitely start farming on some maps for better gear and hopefully will be strong enough to beat the act 2 final boss. I just found out about the whole trading thing on the website and i hope that will give me a boost somehow. Anyways thanks for the tips!
