Website POE1 Shop counts PS5 points instead of PC Points with no way of switching
Hi Team,
Basically it looks like points shop on the website is counting ps5 points over PC points for purchases and I am not sure but it looks like it cannot be switched? SS below from my pov - I have more than 400 points as you can see but I cannot buy anything that is more expensive than 75 points (I have 75 for ps5) https://imgur.com/a/urXfULV I can buy stuff that is cheaper than 75 points https://imgur.com/a/S2iLqnB Last edited by Logikov#7151 on Feb 16, 2025, 11:55:05 AM Last bumped on Feb 18, 2025, 2:33:30 AM

MTX points are only useable on the platform on which they are bought. The web shop (afaik) is uniquely PC only, to buy points on console you must do so on your console.
Some MTX (seems to vary between PS and XBox) are available on both your console and PC, but I would not rely on this. MTX bought on your console for PoE1 are going to become (eventually, they have started to migrate some) available for PoE2 as well (unless they are not ‘valid’ for example we don’t have delve or metamorph yet so won’t get those tabs until they add them to the game assuming they do, some MTX will never become available on PoE2 due to this). Hope this clears things up (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

@Timbo Zero#8289 It did not clear anything as it seems you did not read the post I made at all sir :)
I bought PC Points on the website via supporter pack. And i bought points on the console via PS Store. Webshop should be PC only if I use it from PC but as seen in my screenshot for some reason it is not. I assume it counts currency from last played platform which in my case was PS5 and that's why it wants to spend PS5 points on the mtx instead of normal PC ones. I am not playing PoE 1 on console at all, just to clear stuff up. PoE 1 PC, PoE 2 PS5. "Some MTX (seems to vary between PS and XBox) are available on both your console and PC, but I would not rely on this." - this only applies to mtx gained as league rewards as PS5 and PC do not have shared mtx, PC and XBOX have tho afaik. "MTX bought on your console for PoE1 are going to become (eventually, they have started to migrate some) available for PoE2 as well (unless they are not ‘valid’ for example we don’t have delve or metamorph yet so won’t get those tabs until they add them to the game assuming they do, some MTX will never become available on PoE2 due to this)." yes I am aware of that sir but it will be only for the PC/XBOX and has nothing to do with the problem I've described. Thanks for your input tho! |

I did read you post, it seemed fair clear to me that you have 75PS5 and 393PC points?
You are playing PoE2 on PS5? These being the case you only have 75 points available (regardless of if the website is showing your combined points), and being able to only buy things of 75 points or less would be correct. My other comments regarded how XBox players are (afaik) getting some PC PoE1 purchases migrated to PoE2, PS5 are not. This appears to be part of the deal Sony made to join the cross play (they understandably want to keep their revenue streams and not giveaway spending on their platform to other platforms). My final comment related only to anything you had bought on PS (4 or 5) for PoE1 as mtx, those will over time migrate to PoE2 on PS5 (for example your currency tab and as of 0.1.1d your map tab already should have, if you bought them previously on PS). GGG doe not differentiate between mtx points bought for PoE1 or 2, they are essentially the same points. They do differentiate between platforms they were bought on, and imo should show them separately on the gamers overview page (as this would clear things up for cases like this one) (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division) Last edited by Timbo Zero#8289 on Feb 18, 2025, 2:41:24 AM
