Soul Mantle + Self Flagellation + ??? = DPS Boost
The title is pretty much it. What to add, or how to make the curses/hexes inflicted from soul mantle last as long as possible.
All the research I've done has consistently lead me to routes that will negate the curses. I don't want that. I want them to last forever. You can negate the effect of them to the point that they basically do nothing, now I just need them to last longer. I tried the Hex Master node, and skill effect duration, and curse duration. Is it just not possible? Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker? Last bumped on Feb 16, 2025, 4:20:34 AM

"Forever" isn't possible for anything, as far as I know. But the approach becomes "how can I effectively do this." In this case, I'd ask... instead of forever, how about just reapplying it constantly? (Which might either mean you have to do the work as you play, or you might be able to find an "automated" way.)
Edit: After looking up those items... 1) The whole premise doesn't feel worth it to me? +20% increased damage for ALL of this effort can't be worth it, right? Unless there was something that "reversed" the effects of curses, to make more use out of all of the effort, but I don't think there is. (Not sure though.) 2) But if we pressed onward... What's the idea here? Because my thought is... something that makes use of throwing SO many totems out there (with the intention of them dying, maybe this is how they do damage?) that you just have so many curses being applied to you that you effectively max out your gains from Flagellation anyway. No need to be perma, although more duration gives more wiggle room between combats. I don't know anything about totem builds. Are there ways for them to die, even on purpose, and yet still get benefit for the life that they lived? (Whether they self-destruct somehow, or do the reflect mechanic, I dunno.) Decoy + Flamewood + Multiple Totems? Last edited by ShadyC#1006 on Feb 16, 2025, 3:06:55 AM

Ill give ground yea forever is being a bit dramatic, but 8 seconds is so little time, even 15 or 20 would be a lot more manageable.
So the hexes go off every time a totem dies, which conveniently means when they are placed over your max count. So you can spam the button and stack the curses. Self-Flagellation gives 10-20% Increased damage per curse inflicted on you I've been able to count like 9 or 10 that stack from soul mantle, thats just rough counting I honestly haven't looked up the actual number. Trying to realistically stack as many curses as possible and still do game mechanics is proving to be difficult. Edit: A side gem set up with some sort of self-killing throw away totems somehow might be something. Side note, I just like to poke things and see what they do, like this. Is it worth it, prolly not, do I still wanna try just for S&G, yup. Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker? Last edited by Icebane583#3826 on Feb 16, 2025, 4:01:16 AM

Ok I honestly missed your point a bit. So I’m just gonna add here and go off your idea cause that’s awesome. It clicked, what you meant. I am so down with that, totems that just implode to clear screens sounds hilarious.
This whole thing is honestly just cause I 6 linked a soul mantle on my 7th or 8th fusing and then immediately pulled a SF jewel the very next map I opened. So I was like screw it can I make this work in my favor. My build currently is a crit/speed arc/crackling lance of disintegration(boss swap). I have no idea what to do to set up what you’re talking about off what I have now, that might have to be a new alt. Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?
