Determination works even though I don't meet strength requirement

I have 158 strength but level 21 Determination requires 159 strength. The text correctly displays red since I don't have the required strength, but I'm still able to activate the aura. It still reserves mana, shows up top on my active buff bar, and shows the increased armour on my character sheet.

The tooltip of an item can only be changed by modifiers on the item itself. Modifiers from other items won't be reflected in the item's tooltip.
Replica Dragonfang's Flight gives you "Items and Gems have (5-10)% reduced Attribute Requirements". That lowers the Str requirement of your Determination gem below 158, which you do meet. |
