Win 11 24h2

So, I just bought a new PC and have been running into crashes since I got it. After some googling, it appears to be related to Win 11 24h2 update, but I do not have the ability to revert so I am stuck. I was reading that the issue appears to be fixed in POE2, so hopefully it will be fixed in POE1 soon. I am really excited for the new event next week and it would be a shame if I cannot play due to Windows 11.

You need to use PoEUncrasher, search for it on google, only take the Github link from the user "KAPPS"


It will auto detect when you're on loading (when the pc can freeze) and will disable 2 CPU core while it load, and re-enable it right after.

Rarely the pc will still freeze, and often the game will freeze, but the soft it well made and will try to recover from it, by setting your POE task on REAL TIME (it needs admin privilege for that) and most of the time it will recover, or you just kill the process and restart poe.

Please share this around your friend, this is the only way to play PoE for now until GGG find a fix.

And yes this is tedious and I understand if you don't want to think about all of hastle.

They fixed win11 24H2 system freeze in poe 2, what about poe 1 ? i have same problem in poe 1 (system freeze on loading screen), poe 2 works perfect after their fix.

Same as me on 24h2,sometimes freeze at login stage,this is really annoying,i have to force reboot every single time with this problem

Absolutely the same issue. Bought a new PC specially for PoE 2 (Win 11 24h2 was already installed; sure that there are tons of players who did the same) and got freeze after freeze. Just imagine how this thing spoil the delight of having new PC.
Downloaded Uncrasher - still not sure about how is this thing safe for my new CPU (I mean doin those manipulations with cores every 5 minutes...)

After more than !1 month! GGG finally fixed it for PoE 2. I even deleted the tool. But yesterday when I logged into PoE 1 for a little training my PC froze again... OMG if they won't fix it to Thursday it would be the FAIL! Freeze right to the 20k queue - nice!

I downloaded Uncrasher again. It works but I still get some lags on loading time to time (music on background is stuttering on loads...) I tried about 5 other games (newest and rather old) - not a single one has the same issue. So it's definitely not a Microsoft's fail.
