mineral petrified amber

Hello everyone

I just can't farm petrified amber on my city.
I have workers on, my mines are level 3 so its available for me.
I don't understand.

Have you completed a Petrified Amber encounter?

In order for the miners to mine, they need to have ore marked to mine. You, the player, have to find and mark the ore--by interacting with the ores and completing the ensuing encounter, as you progress through the campaign and maps.
