No respawn attempts on Simulacrum

Is this intended? Have they not added respawns to Simulacrum yet? It gave me the message of "x attempts remain" or whatever, but I lost all my portals and was respawned back in my hideout.

I attempted Simulacrum today and died on wave 11 or something and I was also under the impression that you had multiple attempts on Pinnacle bosses, but I only had to option to respawn in hideout. Did that and all portals were gone.

Its only one attempt for Sim
They did patch some pinnacle bosses for up to 5 respawn attempts on feb 4th. See link below. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3717308 Website is down.
