Heroic Tragedy Vorana - Causes Travel Node Issues

In case it matters: Heroic Tragedy Vorana with 6671 seed

Placing this jewel in the passive tree makes it so the travel nodes (+5 attribute nodes) don't correctly give the attributes to your character.

Example: Placing the jewel in the southeast of the tree near the passive Dance with Death has 2 attribute nodes in range. No matter what attributes you select for these nodes, the character stats do not change at all. It isn't just a display issue because the mana, hp, etc. don't change either.
