Can't access a set of map nodes

See the image.

There are about 9 nodes I can't get too. What makes this particularly annoying is that one of them is a Unique map - the first I've ever seen.

I burnt a path of destruction to get there only to find I can't access that node - this feels like a cruel blow.

How do I get there?
