Does Our Feedback Matter? How Can We Make It Count?
I've been wondering if game feedback from the Path of Exile 2 community (especially us non-streamers) actually counts for anything. Do we even get a chance for our input to be read and considered in some way? I am not implying that they should reply or read all of the posts, but at least find a way to engage with the community here or on Reddit. Where is the best place to post some feedback and hope for it to be noticed ?
I really enjoy the game and have spent over 500 hours playing it, many of those in co-op. Along the way, I've compiled a thorough list of quality-of-life improvements, small pain points, annoying mechanics, and UI/UX issues. I'd love to see that if I put the effort into posting them, they can at least be read by someone from GGG. And I'm talking about small details that I noticed throughout my play time. In a recent video about the PoE1 benching, Jonathan mentioned that people were "generally aware" about game's state, and certain people knew about it. I need they need to keep players aware or involve them more in the process, especially if it's an early access game. Or is it that data is mined from us while playing, and no one cares about our opinions? Or do they listen only to streamers that mostly clickbait on game's content, caring more about their views count and not actually giving useful information ? Sorry, but many of them seem like fatalistic clowns ... I often ask myself why the developers don't hire community managers or someone to engage with Early Access players. Weekly polls, Q&A sessions, insider articles, more social media activity or even regular updates would go a long way in building a strong connection with the player base. It feels like a missed opportunity not to communicate with us more actively. What do you all think? Going off most recently, they said there was player backlash and how "they were wrong," but actually, that take was wrong, and they won't acknowledge their misinterpretation. Your feedback absolutely does not matter.
I'm a skeptical user and borderline hater.

When Jonathan said in that last video that their biggest takeaway from all the feedback was that they needed more tower layouts, I knew right then and there that they aren't listening to any feedback.

Assuming they take in feedback from certain players, what kind of players do you expect?

Be the change you seek. Put out your feedback.

" I felt the same way when I saw their latest update. Everyone's talking about the Wasteland stash tab, a sort button, trading issues, and crafting, yet GGG completely ignored them. It's disheartening. GGG devs keep saying "we received feedback," but never explain how, who, or what they asked. It makes you wonder if they're even listening. I feel like we're just data points, and I hate how players are treated like input operators whose time isn't respected. The lack of GGG player engagement on this forum and subreddit – no questions, polls, or real communication – says much about where our feedback goes. There is an option to ask streamers on Twitch for a campfire chat question, but that's like screaming in the void... Frankly, many PoE YouTubers just clickbait off PoE2, creating "PROBLEMS" and doomsday scenarios while they react to each other's videos and spread dated/shallow info & knowledge. (dated in the sense of already milked starts, bad builds and so on) |
