An item is already on the cursor

As per the title, I have clicked on a corruption alter and have now not only lost my unique item, but it has also crashed my game with the mouse no longer working to do anything.

I cannot use the mouse cursor at all. Please advise and help.

For anyone having this issue, a simple complete log out of POE2 and log back in fixes this.
