Monk Stops Attacking (updated)
This has been worse since the last patch. It happened a few times prior to, but since last week, it's a constant thing.
My monk will have full mana, no debuffs, not looting anything, and will suddenly stop attacking mobs and just stand there while I try to get his attacks to start up again, I can dodge roll, use other skills, but his charged staff will just stop. It's generally at the worst time, in the middle of a fight. Sometimes against elites, sometimes against bosses, sometimes against just regular mobs. This is incredibly frustrating. I'm on xbox series x --Edit This is also happening with my sorceress that I just made. It may be related to it trying to loot when I walk past items while auto attacking (holding down the A button). Last night I was grouped with some friends, and every time the screen filled up with loot, I would stop attacking when I walked into loot range of anything. Nothing like crushing a map, only to die due to the loot mechanics interfering with the attack mechanics. Me too, and I'm Gemling using Tempest Flurry.
Whenever I hit or killed some monster, it stop attacking, even if I'm still holding the tempest flurry button. And I just stand there getting killed because tempest flurry is also my movement skill. This bug is from day 1 and still not being fixed, this game is a joke to all console players. Last edited by Jaehaerys7#5742 on Feb 16, 2025, 8:43:44 PM

same for my monk, (charged staff) stops attacking in the middle of a fight. assuming this happens when the buff is gone, but it shouldn't stop because i'm still holding the attack button (ice strike).

This has happened to me on PS5 as well. Character will run around and not attack.

It's not the most convenient fix, but removing all skill binds from your interact button helps this issue. I also have a monk and sorc and don't run into this issue anymore after I removed skills from the interact button a few weeks after launch.
Since the patch before last when they removed the ability to interact while using a skill you have to stop attacking for a second or two to pick things up which is annoying but my characters don't flat out stop attacking when I'm in range of an interact-able item. |
