Idea for Guild Play

I like the idea of guilds but there's nothing really special about joining up with your guild to play. It's the same thing but easier, as the bosses and enemies don't really scale with the power of two players, bosses are destroyed in one second and it feels sort of meh. I had an idea that may or may not suck. This may or may not have all been done before, I am new so if it has and it's not a good idea, that's my ignorance.

Create an event that you can only take on as a guild. A new boss has appeared, something that is designed from the ground up to be a boss for 4-8 players to fight. The mechanics would work like this: The boss has 100% resistance to all elemental/chaos damage as its base. However, the source of these resistances is a mcguffin that teams of characters can go and destroy, weakening the boss and making it possible to defeat.

Gameplay looks like this: There are four sub-bosses, each guarding a resistance source, so one for cold, one for lightning, fire, chaos, you get it. Each sub-boss is in a location that can only be accessed by at least two people. Say it's in a military camp and is locked inside a magic chest. Because of this, you need a merc/warrior combined with a sorceress/witch to enter the area, defeat the sub boss and retrieve the item. There would be four such areas, each with a different combination of classes and holding the key to lowering each resistance.

Once the guild has obtained all such items, they enter the final area. They need to fight their way through, place each item into whatever alter or device and once it's done, you can now battle the final boss who is now able to be defeated.

This would give people a thing to do that they can only accomplish with a group and have a real reason to be in a guild. Maybe it unlocks something like a guild crafting bench with more deterministic crafting options and you can find the materials to make it function by doing the quest again or others like it with other guild members. Having something that you can only take on as a guild and has a very valuable reward might encourage more social play and be something that stands apart from the regular gameplay.

This idea might be trash but thought I'd throw it out there.

Sweet Idea but impossible.

This is an ARPG. Your suggestion is might be okay idea for MMO'ish game. But here, i belive %99 players are playing the game like its single player game. Yet, becouse they want to.
