Elemental damage question.

For x% increased elemental damage. When is this applied and to what? Using a ranger with bow.
So this on the bow, does it increase the bow elemental when I use it, or increase the elements of my skills on attack? I'm curious because it doesn't modify the DPS of the bow that I can tell.
Any help would be appreciated.

From my understanding, the order in PoE2 is: Weapon (if applicable) -> Skill Gem (unless using Default Attack) -> Flat increase -> Conversion -> % Increase.

Generally, any skill gem marked as "Attack" will include a weapon's damage stats, adding it to the skill's damage, while those marked "Spell" will not. Also, take note of skills that specifically say they take a percentage of a weapon's damage, as that will alter that step of calculation.
