One last plea: please make Ruthless more of a real mode. With 1 simple trick

Talking with another ruthless enjoyer who also feels the mode just came up short and could be better motivated another feedback post. I just want to say this one last (probably) time:

I really only have 1 request to IMO make the mode so much better. Revert the Atlas tree to the base game with mybe an across the board negative penalty on the frequency or occurrence of everything.

Ruthless does some things well, loot is mostly fixed (not a dumpster fire like base mode) and such but:

Ruthless went too scorched earth (IMO) by severely gutting too much of the end game agency and fun farmable things out of the Atlas tree, it becomes so austere and overly dry in "risk vs reward" that it quickly becomes a dry hump of a game. Blue balls turns into "okay I'm bored you guys went too far off the deep end".

Reverting to the base Atlas tree solves issues for Hrishi (the sole guy who does anything to Ruthless mode) in that GGG no longer needs to modify every new passive to be super lame and bland.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.
