PoE2 stats won't update on character when switching gear

This only seems to be a problem on one of my characters and only to the weapon slots. No matter what gear I try to put on my stats won't update. For example I need additional dex to use a bow so I put a Quiver with more dex on but my dex stats do not adjust accordingly. The only thing that changes is on the skill page the Lvl # font size gets bigger or smaller. This is on ps5.
