Omen of Resurgence doesn't work anymore?
I have it activated in my inventory and twice now in the past week it has failed to work. After I died I still have the active omen in my inventory. Anyone else notice this>

Just a follow up, I just tested it again, and ..nothing. did not activate. I tried switching it out and re-activating and it does not work anymore.

could it be that you got one-shotted both times? keep in mind that you have to get to "low life" for it to activate, it won't prevent death from a one-shot.

Then why have it at all? That's the only benefit of having the damn thing. You only die in this game to one shots. We have potions to mitigate gradual damage. dumbest argument I've ever heard.

It's really only good for protecting you from those quick succession hits that would take you into low life and kill you before you could react and hit your potion.

" This. It had to be one shots on the map bosses. I was not aware it did not kick in unless you were low life briefly. One was against the level 82 version of Xehst and the hand falling got me. 2nd was against a tier 18 map boss that had a few nasty modifiers. I am very surprised it does not work against one shots though. Not sure what the point is really. What disappoints me from all this is I believe we don't have enough ways to mitigate damage. Once you are in the high 90's level wise, you are constantly going against tough content and you are bound to make a single mistake which takes off almost every bit of the xp gains for that day. That imo is far too punishing. I am not saying there should not be any penalty because then people would go all offense but this is extreme. One solution I would like to see is that over the course of playing hours you get a buffer built up. Say for example after 8 hours you would gain enough buffer to where instead of the 10% xp loss would would only lose 1%. It would reward that 8 hours of death free playing with a minimal loss for one mistake. |

" I have the omen active and it does work I've tested it but I noticed that it takes a short amount of time (up to like half a second or so maybe?) for it to detect that you're low life and kick in. It's not instant. This is something that the devs will need to improve. As mentioned u have to be at 35% or less of max health for omen to trigger. |

Just wanted to say thank you for the replies. It helped me learn about what Omen does and does not do.
I would still advocate for a way to build up a "buffer" of sorts after playing death free for hours that would reduce most of the xp loss. I think this would alleviate some of the pain while still keeping us focused on defense. Also having a pet that grabs stackables (currencies) would be awesome as well. |

Does the omen work on the energy shield 1HP build? 1HP is not considered low health but full health so anything that kills me is considered one shot?
