You cannot do this action while muted

I warped to a player to trade, during the loading screen my internet cut out. Around 10 minutes it came back on, now when I try to whisper someone it says “You cannot do this action while muted“ I don’t know why, other then clicking on direct whisper to trade the only thing I’ve actually ever typed to someone was “TY” after a trade. I’m on PS5. Any suggestions?
