2 accounts same email, intended to have 2 accounts separate email

Hello. I was trying to purchase this game on my xbox as well as my pc. I had my pc account first, and was making one on my xbox for my son. Now they are both under the same email and him and I can't play together. How can I separate them so he and I can play together. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
