Strongbox in Crypt cannot be finished

Second time this happens that I start a Strongbox in Crypt but seems some monsters are not spawning correctly. Have finished and cleared whole map. Says 0 monsters remain but cannot finish the strongbox after killing a few that spawned.

Just want to say this has also happened to me 3 times. its as if some monsters are spawning behind the walls as the strongbox is usually situated pretty close to walls given the layout of the map.
